Some of the things that can be advised for treatment in office for your condition would include: spinal adjustments using either traditional Chiropractic Adjustments or with use of an adjusting tool, called an Activator. Sometimes adjustments can be used on other joints of the body such as the ribs, TMJ, shoulder, elbow, wrists, hip, knees, ankles to name a few. Dr. Leering also uses Shockwave Therapy for chronic soft tissue injuries such as plantar fasciitis, and elbow or shoulder tendonitis. Some soft tissue work might be appropriate and many times he will advise for you to consult with a Registered Massage Therapist if required. For foot/ ankle/ knee/ hip/ sacroiliac, or low back problems a custom orthotic may be required and Dr. Leering can use a specialized computer program and force plate to measure your feet both standing (static) and walking (dynamic). Typically some stretching and home exercise will be advised. Inflammation management advice will be shared with you. Likely you will be advised to get active and stay moving.
