Acupuncture has been practiced for many centuries, and by many different countries and cultures. However, we believe acupuncture started in ancient China, possibly as long as 4,000 years ago.
Traditionally, very fine needles were inserted, mainly in the arms and legs of a patient. This process is used to adjust the body's energy flow into healthier patterns and is used to treat a wide variety of illnesses and health conditions. Modern ways to understand the mechanisms of acupuncture often use concepts of myofascial release points, activation of the peripheral nervous system, and psycho-neuro immunology.
There are quite a number of distinct styles of acupuncture Master Tong Style Acupuncture is predominantly used by Michael.
